Our Story

We originally started with the idea of creating a referral network where businesses could help each other find customers. Along the way, we also built simple tools for quotations, invoicing, and other everyday business needs.

While we were building the marketplace, we noticed that businesses were increasingly using these tools because they found them simpler, more intuitive, and easier to use than many of the over-complicated software options available to them.

That became one of the reasons we started building more deeply on the software side. Refrens was founded in 2018 as a marketplace, and in 2023 we pivoted towards building the connected business software that Refrens is today.

As more businesses started using these tools, we saw a much larger problem. Service businesses, agencies, traders, and distributors were often managing different parts of their business across disconnected software, spreadsheets, and manual processes.

That insight shaped the Refrens you see today: one connected platform to manage invoicing, accounting, compliance, sales, inventory, vendors, and other business processes without having to stitch together multiple systems.

Today, 300K+ businesses across 170+ countries use Refrens to run their day-to-day operations. Based in Surat, India, we are building Refrens to help growing businesses manage more of their business from one connected platform.
