Great design is actually about creating a website that aligns with an overachieving strategy. My design and development process focuses on more than just aesthetics. Every element of the site works towards a defined goal. We can achieve that with a holistic web design process mentioned below.
1. Setting Goals for the Design Process
I work with the client to determine what goals the new website needs to fulfill, i.e. what its purpose is.
2. Defining Project Scope
Once we know the site's goals we can define the scope of the project, i.e. what pages and what features the site requires to fulfill the goal and the timeline for building those out.
3. Putting Content First
Now that we have a bigger picture of the site in mind, we can start creating content for individual pages.
4. Creating Visual Design
With the site architecture and some content in place, we can start working on the visual style from the ground up.
5. Final Testing and Review
Now that we've got all the pages and how they display to the visitor, so it's time to make sure all it works. Everything from user experience issues to simple broken links.
6. Launch
Once everything's working beautifully, it's time to plan and execute your site launch.
