Bring in transactions from Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB or any other Malaysian bank account. Export a CSV, or upload a PDF statement if that's all your bank gives you. Refrens checks the file against your payment account and shows the opening balance, closing balance and transaction count before anything gets imported.

Re-uploaded a file, or has a transfer landed on your statement twice? Refrens flags likely duplicates as soon as your statement is reviewed. Mark them as duplicate and they move to a separate tab, out of your reconciliation entirely, so your Bank Book only carries real transactions.

Add statement lines to the Bank Book one at a time, select a batch and bulk add them, or pull every transaction in with a single click. Whether you're reconciling one trading account or clearing a backlog before month-end, the workflow moves at your pace.

Once transactions sit in the Bank Book, Refrens automatically checks them against your ledger and sorts every line into Matched, Missing in Ledger, or Missing in Bank Book. What used to be an afternoon comparing a Maybank2u statement line by line becomes a status you can scan in seconds.

For anything Missing in Ledger, Refrens surfaces suggested matches pulled from your existing records. Confirm the right one with a click, and the transaction moves to Matched, no digging through old invoices or payment receipts required.

If a transaction genuinely has no corresponding entry, a bank charge, or an SST payment that never got logged, create the payment, payout receipt, or journal entry right from the reconciliation screen. The entry posts to your ledger and the transaction reconciles in the same flow.

Some entries are easier to resolve once you have more information, a supplier confirms an invoice number, or your accountant clarifies a journal entry. Mark them for later and come back when you're ready. Once new entries are in, hit Rescan and Refrens tries the match again automatically.

Reconciled, Discarded, and Marked for Later transactions each sit in their own tab, so you always know what's closed and what still needs attention. That visibility matters when an accountant, auditor, or business partner asks for the state of your books before a filing deadline.

Uploaded the wrong statement, or need to redo a reconciliation set after a correction? Delete statements, bank books, or reconciliation sets independently, without untangling the rest of your ledger. Your books stay accurate even when the process doesn't go perfectly the first time.
No. Refrens reconciles from a bank statement you upload, either as a CSV export or a PDF, so there's no open banking connection or bank login required. You stay in control of when and what gets imported.
Both. If your bank gives you a CSV export, Refrens reads it directly against a sample format. If you only have a PDF statement, Refrens can extract the transactions from that as well.
Once transactions are added to your Bank Book, Refrens automatically checks each one against your ledger and sorts it as Matched, Missing in Ledger, or Missing in Bank Book. Unmatched transactions get suggested matches pulled from your existing records, and you can rescan at any time as new entries come in.
A reconciled ledger means the figures you report for SST are backed by your actual bank movements, not just invoiced amounts. Since reconciled transactions stay linked to the same accounts used in your SST reporting periods, filing season involves less back and forth with your accountant.
You can create the corresponding payment, payout receipt or journal entry directly from the reconciliation screen. The entry posts to your ledger and the transaction reconciles in the same flow, without switching screens.
